Natural Acrylic Nail Remover

How to Remove Acrylic Nails at Home

Tools You'll Need:

  • Nail file with two grits (100/80 grit if possible)
  • Mylee 100% Pure Acetone Nail Polish Remover
  • Cotton balls
  • Aluminum foil
  • Nail wrap
  • Nail clippers (optional)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Trim the Acrylic Nails (Optional):

If your acrylic nails are long, use nail clippers to trim them as short as possible. This will make the removal process faster and easier.

2. File the Top Layer of Acrylic:

Using the 100 grit side of the nail file, lightly buff the top layer of the acrylic to create a rough surface. This will help the acetone penetrate the acrylic more effectively.

3. Soak the Nails in Acetone:

Pour 100% pure acetone into a small bowl or dish. Soak the acrylic nails in the acetone for 10-15 minutes. The acetone will soften and dissolve the acrylic.

4. Loosen the Acrylic:

Once the acrylic has softened, use a nail pick or dental floss to gently pry up the edges of the acrylic. Do not force it, as this could damage your natural nails.

5. Remove the Acrylic:

Continue prying up the loosened acrylic until it comes off completely. If any small pieces remain, use the nail file to remove them.

6. Clean and Moisturize:

Once the acrylic is removed, wash your hands with soap and water. Apply a nail strengthener or cuticle oil to your natural nails to nourish and protect them.
