Stoughton girls tennis defeats Sauk Prairie in Badger Small dual
Stoughton wins five of six singles matches
The Stoughton girls tennis team earned a 6-1 victory over Sauk Prairie in a Badger Small Conference dual meet on Thursday at the Stoughton High School courts.
The Vikings won all three doubles matches and five of the six singles matches.
In the closest singles match, Stoughton's Vivian Nguyen topped Sauk Prairie's Ella Baldwin 6-3, 7-6 (7-5).
Stoughton extends winning streak to three
With the victory, Stoughton improves to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the Badger Small.
The Vikings have won three straight matches after opening the season with a loss to Madison West.
Next up for Stoughton
Stoughton will host Madison Edgewood in a non-conference dual meet on Tuesday.
The Crusaders are 2-1 overall and are coming off a 6-1 victory over Madison La Follette on Wednesday.
