North Carolina basketball to hold Blue-White Scrimmage off campus

Roy Williams Court at Dean E. Smith Center to undergo renovations

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina will hold its annual Blue-White Scrimmage at the Dean E. Smith Center on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m. ET. The scrimmage will be played on Carmichael Court, as Roy Williams Court is undergoing renovations.

Renovations to Roy Williams Court

The renovations to Roy Williams Court are part of a larger project to improve the Dean E. Smith Center. The project includes new seating, a new video board, and a new sound system. The renovations are expected to be completed by the start of the 2023-24 season.

Carmichael Court has hosted Blue-White Scrimmage before

This will be the first time the Blue-White Scrimmage has been played on Carmichael Court since 2019. The scrimmage was moved to Carmichael Court that year due to renovations to the Dean E. Smith Center. The scrimmage was also played on Carmichael Court in 2017.

Fans encouraged to attend Blue-White Scrimmage

The Blue-White Scrimmage is a great opportunity for fans to get a first look at the 2022-23 North Carolina basketball team. The scrimmage is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 12 p.m. ET.
